    • I first encountered Harley Quinn in these pages Harley has a sweet spirit, but don t mess with her friends Harley s man gets beat up in prison so she arranges an escape, and meets up with the Joker on the way To me, the power of the story didn t come through the plot, but through the characters Harley loves alliteration, like Robin liked saying things were holy in the original Batman television series She will say weird, quirky things like pulverized piles of poop, in reference to bad guys she h [...]

    • I received a preview eARC of this title from the publisher through NetGalley.Well, I have to say that Harley Quinn is still one of my favorite girls But I m not as enthusiastic after reading this entry in the series I did enjoy her stories, but not as much as I had Volume 3 Kiss Kiss Bang Stab Perhaps in part because I wasn t able to read Volume 4.But that said, Harley didn t seem as coherent and focused as a character in this one There seemed to be a bit randomness with her, which might have b [...]

    • I received this from Edelweiss and DC Comics in exchange for an honest review I don t understand it and can t explain it, since I m nowhere near the target audience for this series, but I sure have a lot of fun reading about Harley Quinn and her antics Very goofy, to be sure, but enjoyable nonetheless.

    • Stuff happens Harley Quinn deals with someone she killed before but who has come back to life her boyfriend is in jail being beaten up she has some conflict with the mayor of New York her boyfriend gets sent to Gotham and Harley goes to break him out Quinn beats up the Joker reason this is rated as high as 3.75 Quinn and others flash their naked bodies all of the place though things keep getting in the way of the reader seeing much Quinn kisses men and women Quinn meets again the Joker, Power Gi [...]

    • I m a dabbler in comics I m not someone who knows all of the story lines and can give you the back story for each and every incarnation of a character, but I like and respect the genre of graphic novels and comic books I also like pretty artwork, eye popping colors and pictures of very well drawn men who in no way, shape or form resemble the male physique in real life This book had a lot of tongue in cheek fan service for the male reader I thought some of it was funny and rolled my eyes at the r [...]

    • 4.8 Love my HQ comics I know Vol 5 JUST came out today but any idea when Vol 6 is coming I may be only slightly impatient okay, like a lot I am always a giant fan of all the artwork we get at the end of the volumes but I really enjoyed the added artwork drafts that were included in this volume.

    • Naturally, I had to start the year off with my girl Harley With a Poison Ivy appearance, the intense encounter with the Joker a disconcerting, but crucial confrontation , and several other fun appearances Wonder Woman , it was great to see Harley interact with so many beloved and or love to hate characters We also got lots of fun looks from Harley the bowling outfit was a highlight , silly and suspenseful antics with the Gang of Harleys, and development closure on some of the storylines Definite [...]

    • Harley goes home to that most hellish asylum where her life as Harleen ended and Harley was born She goes in on a rescue mission but ends up in a hell in a cell grudge match, a long awaited grudge match that doesn t disappoint Oh and some other things happen I guess Harley screws with mayor of NYC, she tries to survive a hit from somebody who died, but got a robotic retry, she even finds a magical lamp By volume 5 you should know if you like the tales being spun in this series They are light and [...]

    • It might not make the most sense to start with volume five of this run of Harley Quinn, but it s not to laden with continuity to make it a difficult starting point The plot is relatively straightforward and easy enough to catch up on.Conner and Palmiotti have created a very distinctive voice for the book, which makes it effective you would immediately know whose Harley you re reading The book is by turns silly and earnest sometimes both at once , and revolves around Harley s surprisingly good he [...]

    • I was introduced to Harley Quinn when my 14 year old grand daughter dressed in pigtails and a cheeky heart dragged me to the opening night of the Suicide Squad movie I immediately fell in love with the quirky Harley character and not just because my grand daughter resembles the actress, Margot Robbie, who stole the show with her dramatization of the comic book character Harley is one of those iconic personas who should be abhorred and yet can t help but be endearing Childlike yet clever, deadly [...]

    • This volume was basically the same silliness, other than the long awaited confrontation with the Joker Harley finally confronts him in Arkham Asylum in a very violent confirmation that seems to put an end to their relationship once and for all, but who knows Honestly the confrontation was a little hard to read because it seemed to mimic many real life abusive relationships and take things to a level this mostly humor comic hadn t reached yet Or I could have just been reading too much into it.Oth [...]

    • This fifth collection is really great A former villain from this series comes back but not in the way you think But the main story arc has her trying to save her current boyfriend from being killed in jail The story was good and the end of the arc has a great punch to it and I think it really makes her a better character I really enjoy this series and I hope it keeps going for a while Digital review copy provided by the publisher through Edelweiss.

    • Maybe the best volume of the series to date Chad Hardin provides the art throughout the book with an Amanda Connor one shot at the end, so consistently great art everywhere This volume ties up the plot line with Mason in prison and Harley also gets closure from the Joker The Joker scene was especially good.Received an advance copy from DC and Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review.

    • I really liked this volume During one issue Harley finally confronts Joker and I love it I like that the writers are making Harley move forward and away from Joker I like that she finally gets to confront him It was amazing.

    • I adore Harley, and this one finally shows her relationship with Ivy without leaving any doubt, though there was none in my mind to begin with I also love when her and the Joker interact, as their relationship has changed quite a bit since the animated series I love how she stands up to him, and is able to admit that she will never truly be rid of her love for him, but she will fight it, since he is no good to her, or for her I also love the Anna Karenna reference, and the hints of how smart she [...]

    • Honestly I only really enjoyed the issue with Joker and the issue where Harley finds a genie Everything else was just alright in my opinion.

    • Wow me and so many other reviewers don t agree. While I like that the story allows Harley to have some key closurewell its all over the place and rushing to conclusion for me.Maybe I m just an old man

    • I received a free eARC from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review This volume is all about Harley standing up for her loved ones and, oh boy, you don t want to mess with Harley s people all right, she ll do the craziest things just to get them to safety.Mason Macabre is having an awful time in prison and Harley needs to rescue him Things get even worse when he s transferred to Arkham Asylum, and you all know who s there too.Not only are there some really good Joker referen [...]

    • I was quite a fan of Harley Quinn when her ongoing series first came out Funny and irreverent, she was a babelicious DC version of Deadpool The writers seem to have replaced clever ideas with overuse of alliteration, and the schtick which was so humorous initially is as worn as a threadbare carpet Chad Hardin s art is still strong, if often rushed looking His Joker seems to be a throwback from a different era which is appropriate as this Clown Prince of Crime has no resemblance to the one we ve [...]

    • And this volume is back to being terrible The title and cover are misleading, the Joker appears in the very last issue of this volume and only for maybe 3 4 pagesd it s Harley who gets the last laugh, not Mistah Jay But let s not get ahead of ourselves The volume starts out with a villain turned lover for Sy, than continues with a short arc of Mason being attacked in prison and Harley trying to save him He gets shipped to Arkham and it takes Ivy and Batman to actually save him This volume wast g [...]

    • You go Harley Compared to the last album, this was action packed and a lot of fun Just the right kind of intrigue and romance I also really loved the scene with Harley and the Joker Don t get me wrong, it was disgusting and disturbing on so many levels, but it was so well written and such a growth for Harley.Have to admit I thought this might be the last album n the series though, but I see I am wrong

    • Kind of a weaker HARLEY QUINN collection, but still pretty strong I think that there just wasn t enough Poison Ivy in it for my tastes That said, anyone who is looking for Harley to finally extricate herself from The Joker s thrall, emotionally and physically, you should probably pick this up.

    • 4.5 starsNice to see Batman and the Joker Glad that Harley was able to put the Joker behind her Hope she will be able to see Mason again someday. Can t wait to read Harley Quinn, volume 6 Black, White, and Red all Over

    • Perfectly serviceable HQ volume nothing special or remarkable, just the entertainment style you expect from the character and her capable custodians Palmiotti and Conner.

    • I m a huge fan of this series and I love where it s going so far This instalment is fantastic, heartwarming and hilarious I cannot recommend this series enough
